I have an old house furnace and the fanjust quit... the fan seems to be in good condition and looks to be without a problem. I can't figure out why the fan would quit... but I need to purchase a new or used one. Things have been tight but I need the heat. I was just wondering if anyone may know of a cheap 12 volt insulated fan motor that I can get? [email protected]... thank you.

I have never seen a 12 volt furnace fan, is this a typo? Test the power right at the fans connection box and confirm power is reaching the motor. Your fan motor could be burned out or a relay could have failed and the fan isn't getting the power. Does your thermostat have a fan setting of AUTO/ON? If so, move the switch to ON, does the fan turn on?
