Am child support? Was that supposed to say "i am paying child support?" and no, giving up your rights does not necessarily end your responsibilities as a parent. You only give up your rights to say how the child is raised. You may still very well have to pay child support though

Well first it is doubtful you can even give up any rights. Most courts will not allow it. So it will take an attorney and an attempt in the court to try and give up you rights ( remember you are not required to use them if you don't want to)
Next of course visistation and child support is not the same, so unless the child is being adotped by a step parent, child support is still paid.

So basically even if a court would allow you to sign away your rights ( which most likely you can't) you still pay child support

May I ask why you ignored the Sticky Note titled Signing over rights--Read First at the top of this forum?

Had you done so, you would have had the answer to your question.

No court is going to terminate your rights to allow you to get out of your responsibility to support YOUR child.
