I have in my personal residence a low profile
toilet in each. They are one piece. As in the tank is attached. Both have been having running problems as in the flapper doesn't seat right yadda yadda. I have not replaced the guts of the toilets complete since I have been living here which is 10 years. So I thought why not replace with all new guts and not mess around with it any more. Do it once do it right attitude. I purchased 2 Korky plus Universal toilet repair kits (4010) for $19.00 approx each at Lowe's. The package boasts "stop your leaking, noisy or runnng toilet in one trip".I have a feeling that was my first mistake? So I start reading... drain the tank... then take the tank =off= uh well
no can do! So my question/s is/are.
Is this universal toilet repair/replace the guts kit not EVEN going to work for a low profile one piece toilet?
If not what / where to purchase the right assembly?
Is my thinking right or wrong as in replacing the guts will stop this problem or am I causing myself more problems?
Are low profile toilets OK? worthless? not even good to hold kitty litter?
Should I buy all new toilets then? LOL Heck I don't know. I just want to do it once and right and move on to the next project etc.
