I am on L2 Visa with a Work Permit. I worked for a company for about 2 months as a contractor and they paid me around $4k. They did not cut any tax amd I am required to do it. How should I go about paying may tax over this earning? Am I required to fill 1099 form? What all documents do I need for it ? By when should I pay off the tax over this income? Can you please advice.

Your days in the U.S. count towards residency. You will report your income and business related expenses on schedule C or C-EZ (Form 1040). Then you put net income (or loss) on line 12 of Form 1040. This income is subject to SE tax at 15.3% (this is shown on line 57 of Form 1040).
