The 3/4 in PVC pipe comes to the house and joints to a 3/4 inch copper pipe. The PVC connector has cracked and we have a big leak. How to replace the connector?

If the PVC pipe is a straight piece what will seal the water from leaking out. Copper side looks solid.

Should there be a O ring or a gasket inside the pvc adapter (Female) connecting to the male copper adapter. What is the name for this PVC adapter. I could not find such a thing any where!

Thanks

Looking forward for an answer.

Hello Ashsaar,
You will need a 3/4" PVC female adapter, a small can of PVC cement. a small can of primer and a roll of teflon tape.  No "O" ring or gasket is needed but you must teflon tape the male threads of the copper adapter before screwing on the female PVC adapter.   If, after sawing off the old PVC adapter the pipe is too short to connect you will have to get 4 to 6" of 3/4"  PVC pipe and a  3/4" PVC coupling.
Saw the PVC  back a few inches and cement on the coupling and short piece of PVC.
Now teflon the threads and screw the PVC adapter on.
You may now cut the pipe to size and complete your repair.  Good luck, Tom
