Hello,

I would like to know if there are any regulations/rights when you have to leave an apartment before the end of the lease if you have been transferred by your company in a foreign country or because you have found another job in a foreign country? I mean, is there any possibility to decrease the notice time and/or to have the deposit back?
Thanks.

Why? Does it make a difference?

I think the question is what country you are being transferred form. And laws vary from local to locale, so a general area is important to know.

In the US the only people allowed to terminate a lease early due to job relocation is the military.

But most companies that require a relocation usually provide some assistance like a buyout, etc.

Talk to your relocation dept, I'm sure a multi-national will have one. Talk to your landlord about a buy out. Or you can try to get a sublet or a replacement tenant.
