I would like to know what skin lighteners tend to leave your skin vulnerable to get darker once you stop for a while or take a vacation and get some sun sometimes no matter what sunblock religiously? I have read several accounts of people who used steroid cream like top gel or movate then when they stopped, they got back dark and sometimes brown spots, patches, what else, hydroquinone? Monobenzone? Mequinol? What else, tell me please.

With bio clair and any other skin lightener I used, my skin returned to it's normal shade after I discontinued use that I can remember. Then again, I only used BC for a few days to a month. Maybe those who used these for longer periods have had darkened more than previously along with spots, possibly this happened due to the thinned skin.

But did it return evenly? I am thinking thinned skin may return evenly but skin hydroquine treated may risk patchiness? And mercury tend to leave a grey or dark cast.

I never used a mercury-based product before, only makari, bio claire, rare extracts body bleach, diana stalder, whitederm mediderm rx, and now hq 4% and ra. My skin color always returned back to normal w/ normal brown color. Although I never used the onse mentioned for long periods, except for the makari. I did notice my upper arm areas were scarred easily and the mark would be very dark, my only guess is that it came from thinned skin from bio claire? They are nolonger thanks to the retin-a I was able to remove the marks, but I usually didn't scar w/ really dark marks before.
