I have a Carrier WeatherMaker Infinity Furnace - Ultra Efficient Gas Furnace. A while back we had some power surges which fried the circuit board and blower motor. We had both replaced. My problem started happening right after the fix. The furnace sounds like it's about to start up, then there is a loud click (which doesn't sound good) and it winds down (off). It immediately starts back up and will run fine until it is supposed to stop... ie reaches the designated temperature. But every time it goes to start up, it does the loud click, shut down, and start up. The guy I had do the original fix couldn't figure the problem out, and since the furnace was technically still keeping the house warm, we left it. I'm looking for some guidance. Thanks in advance,
Andrew

Go to the user interface, press/hold the "ADVANCED" button until the installer/service menu appears (approx. 10 seconds). Use scroll button to highlight "SERVICE" & press select (right-side button). Use scroll button to highlight "RUN/FAULT HISTORY" & select. Use scroll button to highlight "FURNACE FAULTS" & select. Any faults stored? Additionally, is the blower wheel properly centered/secured to the blower assembly?

I don't believe I have an advanced button anywhere. The furnace was throwing faults after the surges. Diagnosed them as the circuit board and then blower motor. But they are fine now and no codes are being thrown.
The furnace throws codes by blinking red and green lights in a certain order.
Anyone know what the click can be?

I just read a similar thread about a similar clicking problem. The pilot ignition module was replaced and that solved the problem. Might give that a try...
