My husband and a friend of his entered in to a year lease now my husband wasn't present to sign the lease so I signed my name instead is the lease leagal

If you had the right to sign as his representative, yes.

Scott is right. In MOST jurisdictions, the husband and wife are considered ONE unit. Therefore, either one can obligate the other - except credit matters. You and your husband don't share a credit file.

Next the lease would still be valid, he could challenge your right to sign and sue you, or file charges for fraud.
But if he moved in and lived there and was aware you signed for him, the apartment can use that as proof he was aware and agreed. And ifyou also signed then you can be held responsible anyway
