The spelling on my sons birthcertificate is wrong he will be graduating soon and would like to get this fixed so his Deploma reads correctly... any help is appreciated and note I don't have much time... thanks

As is evident from Judy's post, it depends on where you are. As an option you can contact the county in which your child was born (where the birth certificate is recorded) and ask them how to make a correction. They should at least be able to point you in the right direction and let you know if it requires a court appearance, or can be managed administratively with a simple form and some documentation.
