I've had gallstones for at least a good 10 years now. They have never caused me grief...

But over the last 2 days, I have had HORRIBLE gas (the eggy, sulfur burps) pain in my side and sholder and HORRIBLE upset stomach, so bad that I WANT to throw up but can't usually. And the heart burn couldn't even be considered heart burn, every time it happens I feel like I'm going to stop breathing and die.

I did my thing on Google. And talked to my sister who has already had a... cholesectomy? I think lol.

I could possibly have a blocked duct. The thing is, while looking it up I can't decide what to do. Some sites say to see a doctor, some are saying that chances are the gallstone will pass in its own time, and I don't need to see a doctor unless it goes on for a week or more.
My sister thinks I should go to the docor now, instead of waiting.

My thing is, I want to see if its nessisary. I don't exactly have the luxurie of time right now lol. So any trips to the doctor need to be needed, and not 'just checking'

Thanks in advance for any advice. Love you guys.

Well I'm a dork. I didn't even include the worst problem. HEART BURN. Omg. The heart burn is ungodly or something.

Ok never mind, I got in to see the doctor today, and she is sending me for an ultra sound and various blood tests tomorrow morning after fasting (oh boy)

Thank you anyway.

Sorry I didn't answer you sooner Jenny, but I was sleeping. Got to rest during the day since I work at night.

And yes, the doctor was your best bet. NEVER let this go untreated.

Yeah that's what she told me lol she scolded me for waiting this long cause a blocked duct in your gall bladder can make it rupture and it can kill you.

Jennie - I almost died of having "gravel" from my gallbladder getting pumped into my pancreas. I was so ill I looked like death warmed over by the time I went to the ER. They did a 4 hour operation on me that should have taken a mere one hour. They did the laproscopic procedure. The reason it took so long is they had to "vacuum cleaner" out all that gravel from the pancreas. I was told later by the surgeon that if I had waited any longer to get the operation done I would have certainly been dead. Don't have the gallbladder any more. You CAN live without a gall bladder. I eat just about everything I did before but it took about a year to get my body trained to digest certain foods again.

Let me know how you are, OK? As I know gallbladder problems are severe enough to cause you to be very, very ill and possibly die of complications.

Thanks twinkie, I'm sorry you went through all that. Ill definitely keep you guys updated.

I did have one question that slipped my mind on asking. I TOLD her about having a period from October until now, and not stopping, except taking a break for a day or 2 every 3 weeks or so. She said that's NOT normal, and said she would order blood tests. But I didn't ask her what could cause it. Or what could it mean? Any ideas?

If I remember correctly I am getting my thyroid checked, my liver and kidneys, doing the diabetes test thing *oh boy orange stuff*
And the abdominal US.
Gimmie a sec ill go get the paper and type it out for you guys. Lol.
