I have a dinky little 20 inch TV hooked up to my electrical outlet. I was watching TV, turned it off to go see a movie with my girl. We came back and I went to turn it on and there was no power. Only in that one outlet. I took out the receptacle and there is no current in the wires. Every outlet works fine though. I flipped the breaker and there are no GFCI outlets. Why did this happen ?

Everything in this diagram is what turns off when I switch off the breaker. The red is the outlet that is no longer working

Was the outlet wired using the little holes in the back? Only two wires, right?

Im not sure what you mean ? It has the ground, neutral and hot wire that are curved around the screw. I have no power to the bare wires. Those are the only wires in the box.

Some (most) outlets have what is called a quick connect. Little holes in the back that you just push the wire into. This is a fast and easy way to wire an outlet. However, they are notorious for developing bad connections after a period.

Pull the outlet on the end wall of the living room. If that outlet works and also feeds the non working outlet, that should be where the bad connection would be. Don't be surprised if the quick connect method of wiring was used.

Likely at an outlet on either side of the bad one.
You don't show switch location, may be there.
Check boxes closest to the bad one.
Does wiring go into bad box from left, right, top?
