I have a brand new home, two showers, only one gets hot water pressure, I have attempted to disassemble the single handle dial to try to find any issues, and I found a small chunk of wood at the dial, and removed it, but still have the same issues, I can't seem to get the rest of the pieces to come apart, with out potentially breaking the plastic pieces. I was wondering if anyone had any idea on what might be my issue. I have a kohler, but can't seem to find a model number anywhere. It looks like this unit:Rite-Temp® Valve with Pex-Expansion
- K-304-UX (http://www.us.kohler.com/onlinecatalog/detail.jsp?from=thumb&frm=&module=Valves&item=13951602&prod_num=304-UX&section=2&category=12&resultPage=0-878042789) but its hard to tell since all the units look the same.

Today's faucets have built-in anti-scald ring. It usually comes adjusted for low temperature. See if that's the case...

If you post the photo of the faucet, we will be able to ID it and tell advice you how to take it apart. Go to Kohler family of sites (http://www.kohler.com) and go through listed models.
