About five years ago me and my wife separated, no legal proceedings have taken place, she moved out of the family hame and into her boyfriends home shortly after. However upon doing this she put a lien on the home. I pay $1200.00 a month child support voluntarily and almost $1000.00 a month mortgage on that house. I have moved on with my life and have a new home and new mortgage and find keeping this home a financial burden. The house was pretty much left unlivable and I had to gut it to make re-sellable. I went to my bank to get a loan to do necessary repairs but was informed of this lien pending divorse outcome. I have spend well over $10,000.00 in lawyers to get this divorse settled with no results. This woman never worked the whole time we were married ( 12 years) and never made a mortgage payment but now wants money from this home, is there anyway I can remove this lien, it has been years and I want to be done of it and move on with my life?

If she hasn't been awarded anything then she can't just simply put a lien on your home. What is the lien for because in some states its legal to put one on for child support regardless if your behind or not.
