Hi everyone, Need help.

Thought of a film I had seen on TV probably 8-10 years ago now and would like to watch it again, have no idea what its called though and not very much information on it at all.

Im quite sure it's a thriller and all I remember was a man (possibly a truck driver) kidnapped a yound boy (possibly girl) and a lot of the film was about the child's father (possibly mother) trying to find them and the only solid bit I remember is the Parent of the child walking into a barn or mechanics workshop or something and asking the "kidnapper" if he had seen anything etc. And all the time the child is in that barn/workshop and I think there mouth is taped up and are locked up in the basement/under the floor and are trying to shout there Parent but they can't hear them. I then think the parent leaves but once they have going to or a bit later in the film something clicks and they realise the person they had asked was the kidnapper and they go and try to rescue them.

That's about all I know. ANy idea's

If it is the one where the child is kidnapped from a store, the only one I can think of is "Adam" ?

Do you have a link as it could well be right, it could well not be?

And I don't know if they are kidnapped from a store, can't remember.

It is not "adam", I have just found it and the child does not even get found in that film.

Could it be Breakdown with Kurt Russell? It's not a child, it's his wife, but other than that it sounds the same.

You are actually awsome!!

Thanks big time. That's exactly what I was thinking of.

p.s. any chance you could answer my other one about a kidnapping.

The Vanishing with Kiefer Sutherland and Jeff Bridges is another good film along similar lines. Also, I watched Taken with Liam Neeson last night, that was excellent!

Just had a stab at the other question, might be a lucky guess.

Sorry to bring this back up but I bought and watched "the breakdown" a day or 2 ago and it is one film I have seen before and maybe where I got the "trucker" idea from but after watching the ending in the barn this is not the film I was originally thinking about.

The bit in the barn how I was picturing it was a man kidnaps a woman/child and is keeping them tied up & gagged in the floor of his barn, the husband/father walks into a barn (or mechanics workshop of some sort) after going around town searching in search of his daughter or wife and is asking the man working in the barn if he has seen anything,(at this time the child/woman is under the floor and can see her husband/father but because she is gagged he cannot hear them shout and so on) The man says he hasn't seen anyone and the father/husband leaves, upon leaving and walking back to his car something triggers him off and he realises his daughter or wife is somewhere in the barn (for e.g. he seens her necklace on the floor outside of the barn when he is walking back to the car), he then either waits for the kidnapper to leave the workshop/barn, tries to rescue his wife, I think the kidnapper comes back and there is a big fight etc.. - guessed the last bit slightly but I vividly remember him walking into the barn asking the kidnapper if he has seen anything not knowing it is him which is why I know its not the seen from "Breakdown".

I also think there is a chance that the Husband asks the man if he can have a look around the barn, he does, he then asked if he can look down the cellar part and the kidnapper lets him, the man goes down sees nothing and then leaves even the his wife was behind a secret door in the cellar.

I haven't seen trapped, or the vanishing but from the trailers it does not appear to be these but I can not be 100%.

Would love it if someone knew what this was?
