Hi,

We have a leak in the showerstall attached to the master bedroom. Ours is 2 level home we can see the leak right above the refrigerator in the kitchen. The shower is a one piece shower module and the water doesn't get out of the shower so it's not a problem with the caulk. The leak gets worse only when we use the shower so the leak is not in the plumbing for the fixtures. The shower drain is clogged so that makes the leak worse. We actually see a long line(3times the width of the show) on the kitchen sealing just below the front side of the stall and a small line to the back side of the shower stall. Where or what could be leaking? Do we need to tear up the sealing or can we fix it from the top?

Thanks in advance.

If the shower floor gives a bit when you step into it then the seal under the drain lip may have ruptured allowing water to leak past the drain onto the ceiling. If this is the case force some silicon jel under the drain lip and let it set up overnight. To check it close off the drain and run about 1/2 inch of water in the shower and watch the ceiling for moisture. Good luck, Tom
