I think I bit off more than I can chew. The last time I thought about fixing my dryer myself it was an ez fix (high limit replacement) but I had a Sears guy out. It took him about 15 minutes (mainly because I told him what part to bring and had it taken apart already. WELL! He ripped me off big time. I almost could have bought a new dryer for what he charged.

So, this time, I am DEFINITELY going to do it myself. I got tips online about rollers and drum glides, so I got drum glides. Now Applguy (who I wish was my husband) says it is probably a bad rear drum bearing. I think I read somewhere (it's all a blur now) that if you take out the drum (which I did) and turn it on, if it still squeals it is definitely the motor. So I tried it. But it won't turn on. I think it is because the door latch wiring is taken apart. I don't even know if I can get it back together. Is there a way to overide this mechanism, at least temporarily?
