My shower head leaks continuously... I was told that the cartridge needs to be replaced. I was able to get it out, but non of the local hardware stores carry it in stock.

I would like to be able to turn the main water line back on for our home. After putting the "old cartridge" back into the shower handle, the water runs continuously from the shower head... I can't turn it off...

Could I have put the cartridge in upside down? I tightened everything so that nothing is leaking from the "old cartridge", but again I can't get the water to stop going through the shower head...

Wondering what I did wrong... since it is Saturday, I would like to be able to turn the main line back on for the rest of the weekend !
