I can't figure out how to remove a Hampton Bay fan and light fixture. Bought a new home with it installed but no instructions.

Turn off the breaker. Double check that power is off completely to the unit. Remove blades at motor. Remove outer housing and the rest is pretty self explanatory. If you don't know what you are doing reinstalling whatever you are replacing it with, just call a professional. Removing the fan is pretty easy.

Sometimes there is a decorative ring that covers the screws near the ceiling. It twists off.
