I have a female friend who has been in a relationship with an alcoholic and abuser. She has filed pfa's with no results. He has threatened not only suicied, but her life also. She is not allowed friends and he is obbssesive and off his rocker, very violent and destructive. His name is not on her lease ,she has asked him to leave several times and told him the relationship is over. They have been unable to serve him with protective orders as every time she files he slips over the state line, from Maryland to P.A. . hE IS A CONVICTED FELON WHO HAS A FIREARM BUT KEEPS IT WELL HIDDEN. HE TOOK HER TO COURT ON A PFA AND DROPPED IT IF HE WAS ABLE TO RETURN TO THE HOUSE USING BRUISES HE GOT WHEN HE FEEL FROM A DEER STAND AND BROKE HIS LEGS. He is good at working the system as he did it with his ex wife. He is destructive and seems to be on the thread of hurting someone badly. How can he be committed or who besides women's advocates can help get him behind bars were he belongs. She is not willing to leave her home she has horses and dogs and a son that depend on her.

You can't help someone who isn't willing to help themselves...

It's her house? She can have him evicted - I'm sure that will turn into more violence but it's an option.
