Is it possible for the father to be given all the rights handed to him even though he has not been there for the baby all he has given was milk abour twice and clothes also he does not even know the age of the baby he doent know the date of birth. I would also like to know if it is possible for him to get sosmeone to follow me and if I can press charges because he is doing that

He can hire a private investigator if he wants to, and no you can't sue him for that. If the investigator does anything beyond track what you do, or if they tresspass, then it is a issue.

But the father as a father will have rights to visits, and can even ask for joint custody.

You can ask for supervised visits and a parenting class if he has not seen the child in a long time, but after the child gets used to him, the court will allow at a min visits for him.

So yes he has rights, and you may as well accept that .

It does take a lot for the non custodial parent to take custody from the custodial parent. Especially when the custodial is the mother. He would have to prove you unfit first.

But even with his past history, the courts are likely to grant him visitation. As Chuck suggested you can insist on supervised visits, at least initially.
