1- open the website vixy.net : Online FLV Converter : Download online videos direct to PC / iPod / PSP. It's free! (http://vixy.net/)
2- in drop down menu select MP3 (Audio only) and paste the link of YouTube video and click start.
Save it in your computer.

This didn't work for me, it keeps taking ages to upload onto the vixy website to convert. Is there another FASTER way to download the audio from YouTube? In fact I know how to download the YouTube videos, do you know if there is a way to EXTRACT the audio from the .flv video files? Any free software? I think this might be better than vixy, maybe less hassel and less time usage.

I used to use AoA but ended up switching over to DVD VideoSoft. You can pop in the URL of several videos, click download, and end up with several mp3's, mp4's, flv's, m4a's or one of several other formats. Just audio, or both video and audio are not a problem.

Its not like most programs, its actually like 20 small programs, with a console to run them. All run great, and are free.

You know, I have just used that software, the only problem is its takes a long while. V Downloader is better, so I think I'm going to use that.

The speed isn't always the best, but I've put in 30 or 40 URL's and let it run over night, with nothing to worry about.
