Our S corp was dissolved 3 months ago due to the terrible economy. We had no choice but to walk away from our warehouse (been a good tenant for 5 years) which had 4 months remaining in the contract. Just earlier today, I received a summon which is under the "corporation name", and it was delivered to my home (no signatures requested). My question is, am I responsible for the default amount being sued since it was an incorporation? I was told by my CPA not to worry about it, and I don't have to go to the court. Any opinions will be much appreciated. BTW, I didn't sign any personal guarantee when we leased the warehouse. Thanks.

Hello l:

I think your CPA is right.
