Do you know if you have "Uninsured Motorists" coverage on your auto insurance? If you file with your company and they can locate the other driver with the plate number. If you don't, file a police report and they should be able to help you so get the information so that you can sue the other driver for your damages.

1. when he called the police and the police took the other drivers info, you get a copy of the police report

2. if you have not, you file a police report and get a copy latter with the owners name and address
