I am 18 and I have problems with acne... I'm a dark skin girl and every time I get pimples they leave blackheads and scars on my face... someone please tell me howw to get rid of my problem of scars and pimples... to have a clear and spot free face.. :confused:

First and foremost DO NOT PICK!. I cannot stress this enough as the best way to prevent scarring, discolouration, etc.

[And I do know how tempting it can be to just 'go to town' on it, but you will always regret it afterward... ]

Successful treatment depends on the severity of your acne/blemishes,.

1. Multiple, daily, liberal swabs of Hydrogen Peroxide (in the morning and evening, and any other time when you remove/re-apply your makeup... ) can/will attack the bacteria that may be both causing, and perpetuating, your blemishes which may be a result of clogged pores, etc.

2. Antibiotics, which are Medical Prescriptions, such as Tetracycine, might be prescribed by an M.D. (for a fixed period only and are not to be considered as an ongoing remedy/approach), however one should always make themselves aware of any, and all, side effects... such as yeast infections with regard to strong antibiotics, etc.

3. Also, there are various 'vitamin' supplements such as zinc, 'D', acidophilus, etc. that can aide in not only the clearing, but also maintaining, of your complexion...

Ladytweet, if you have blackheads, use a gentle cleanser to wash your face. Then use of a mild exfoliant, it will remove old skin cells, and it help keep your skin blackhead free. As for the dark acne marks, products like alpha hydroxy creams and bleaching creams will help fade them. Home dermabrasion kits or chemical peels can also reduce the appearance of dark marks.

Go to your doctor/ G.P for suited cream for your type of skin. If not have you tried face calming cream and different foundations to give you that boast to be able to go out and feel a little bit sexier within yourself. At your age you need to be able to like what you see in the mirror and if you don't, why not make yourself feel more combatable by going to a friends house with face masks and nail polish and have your hair done :D your spots will soon go as you get older don't worry that much about them! I suffer with acne myself, I am also a dark skined girl and scar very easily. I have tried and tested all sorts of lotions, creams and antibiotics nothing helped. Drinking plenty of water did though!! My spots haven't gone completley yet (though it has only been 3 weeks) but I've had less out breaks and my skin looks a lot healthier. It might sound silly but honestly it really has made a difference to my skin give it a go drink water evry time u feel thirsty.. hope it helps x x
