Our business has judgement against a defendant in a civil case (actually 2 different ones). The judgement is for a certain amount of money that they owed us for services we provided. We received judgement by default because neither defendant showed for their court date. Since we received judgement, we still have not received any payment(s). What do we do next in order to collect? The clerk in the district court said something to me about going to either the Prothonotary next or the Sheriff but I don't know exactly what for and which would be the better option. We're in Pennsylvania. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Getting a judgement is the easy part, collecting the money is another, the majority of all judgements are never collected.

You will need to find the persons bank accounts and attempt to freze them and get the money, or find out where they work and get a garnishment.
