I have a Kenmore Elite eletric Dryer model #110.64962300. It's only a couple of years old. Everything seems to be working fine but the clothes will not get completely dry. I have taken apart the front kick plate and cleaned out the entire vent hose, and also cleaned out the vent hose leading to outside. The dryer does get really warm, so I believe the heating element is working fine, I can also hear the dryer tumbling clothes. Any suggestions?

Thanks
Steve

Now that you have cleaned out the air chamber under the dryer, check to make sure that your door gasket isn't damaged. You want to elliminate any source of air flow through any crack or crevis except for through the element. Also verify that the fins on the blower are clean and the element is clean.

Andrew - How do I get to the blower and the element? Through the back of the machine or through the front kick plate? (I have mis-placed my manual). I checked the gasket, and it seems to be making a tight seal.

Thanks for you help

On my dryer, the element is behind the tumbler drum. To access the blower, you remove the front of the dryer, not just the lint screen, but the whole front, or at least that's how its done on mine, mine has the lint screen under the door. It's a maytag.

Andrew, I was able to get to the blower last night, The part that leads to the blower (from the lint screen) was missing a screw, so it wasn't making a tight seal around the blower. Anyway, I cleaned out the blower and everything else that I could clean, installed a new screw, and it seems to be working fine now.

Thanks for all your help Andrew!
