View Full Version : Password rejected in email client

Hi,
Yesterday I went to my Thunderbird email client, opened it up and all my mails were missing. I managed to re-set up the account and retrieve all of my emails however my password is constantly rejected. It is correct when I enter my emails through the standard internet browser on c-panel but not through Thunderbird. I tried all forums and checked all details and nothing worked. Then I decided to try and set up my mails on my mac and again the email was rejected.

Does anyone have any idea why?

Hmmm. Weird one.

Are you sure you don't have something else that's not set properly? Some POP3 mail servers require "authentication" via some sort of authentication protocol. I think there are choices of protocols in Thunderbird (but it's been a long time since I've used it that I don't remember for sure).

I never set up authentification before. I checked online and it said not to? Thanks for looking into this.
