I have 2 harbor breeze fans fans installed for upwards of 2 yrs. They have operated fine during this period. Now the remotes have stopped working and I do not know to bypass the remote. I have changed the batteries in both remotes without results. Can the remotes be "reset"? How is this done?

Thanks

Both fans stopped working at the same time? Are they on the same circuit? Have you tested the incoming line for power?

No, they quit working a different times and they are not on the same circuit. I have just been ignoring the 1st to "go out", but now that I have an "epidemic", I guess that I had better try something.

Thanks

Check the dip switches, try a different setting. If that doesn't help, you may need to replace the receivers.

Do the fans have pullchains?

I also have a Harbor Breeze fan for 2years, and the remote recently stopped turning the fan or light on.
It so happened that I had to turn off the breaker to that part of the house to do unrelated repair, and found that when I switched back on the power the fan worked again. It has quit working 2 more times since and once I turn the breaker in the garage off and on the remote works again. Seems that resets the faulty remote. I would also like to bypass the remote to stop this from happening but I don't have a pull-string option.
