Hello I have a very serious problem I have a 5 yr old younger cousin that Im kind of close to well his mom hits him and my uncle knows it and does not do anything about it. Well besides that my uncle keeps moving from apartment to apartment because he doesn't have a job and the child is unstable. Also the child hass been out of school for over a month. My family and I keep trying to help him but his wife does not let us help him. The worst part is that I have witness her hitting the child and hitting my uncle in the past. My mother and I have called Children & Families on him and they have not done anything to resolve the problem. Well now I know where he lives and I had a very bad argument over the child with him what should I do?? My mom and I want to take custody of the child but we have no idea what to do or if we should even do it we really don't want the child to suffer more then what he has already suffered.

This is a really complicated issue. Has child services even followed up on your claims ? The problem comes from the fact that both parents are in the child's life. Are there any bruises showing up or anything that is related to a beating or is it that he is getting spanked ?

Instead of Child/Family Services - if they have done nothing, call the Police.

That's the thing we did call children n families here in Florida and they haven't done anything what so ever. The only reason why Im getting in the middle is because no child should ever have to go through something like that

Something like what ? So far you haven't said what's going on and it could be something that is within the law. What is happening that you believe the child is in danger ?

I didn't say call CPS - I said to call the Police with facts and proof.
