The definition I have is the recreation of cultural images in response to negative impacts of euro-american views - reinvigorated oppositional culture.

Would you say that since the movie is post civil rights that it is a form of afrocentrism in that it shows african americans in hollywood and sort of making a cultural statement with an all black cast?

Wiz... what ? Afrocentrism... where have I been on the north american continent, reading two national newspapers every morning. Can someone enlighten me here?
