My daughter was a permi when born she is 3 1/2 years old and dosen't talk all she says is MAMA. I don't believe she has any autism. How can I get my baby to start talking

I don't have an answer for you but I did smile reading your words. My daughter did not speak other than an occasional word until she was 3 1/2. She was NOT a premie (almost 9 pounds). Just before age 4 she just started talking. She is now 13. Straight A's and won't shut up. As long as her doc's say she is fine ( I assume they've tested her etc) then relax. She'll talk when she is ready and then you won't get her to shut up. I still think she didn't speak because her (now 15 yr old) sister did ALL THE TALKING for her. Hugs and good luck
