I have a Gooman 92K to 115K BTU heater and a Honeywell Mini zone three zone unit with two thermostats.

The problem began when it started getting cold. The furnace would sometimes have problems starting, especially at night when it got colder.

Then the furnace wouldn't start and was dead. I power cycled the unit and got an error code (light blinking 6 times) indicating rollout open. I turned off the power and reset the rollout switch, and the unit finally ignited and was running and heating the house.

Like a bonhead I wasn't content with just getting the unit to start, thinking at night it would fail again, so as I was poking around I broke the original igniter and had to replace it with a universal igniter that glows very bright and has +27.5 Volts on it and seems to work fine, but now the furnace won't ignite and run, it tries 3 times and shuts down. The start up sequence seems to go through the steps correctly and sounds correct, I even hear the blower start, watch the ignitor glow and hear the gas valve open just as it when it worked, but no flame!

I wonder if the original ignitor started the flame by a spark or by heat?
I wonder if the flame sensor may be playing a role?

Anything I have overlooked or should try?
Anyone know if the unit is still under warranty what is covered and what is not and if the replair company will bill goodman or if I have to pay and try to get my money back.

Anyone that can tell me what I'm missing please let me know ASAP.
