I purchased a Chicago Tools Electric Saw Blade Sharpener. However, the owner's manual is lacking any real instructions on the specific details of sharpening a saw blade (table saw or circular saw blade). Where can I find guidance on using the electric saw sharpener effectively?

Hi,
I was sharpening saw blades, hand, circular and chain, almost thirty years ago and can say that your best bet is to first understand the dynamics of the blade.
Such terms as kerf, set and surface angles are part of the things you need to know. Kerf is the width of the cut, set has to do with it since that is the offset of the cutting tooth to one side or the other.
The surface angle is the agressiveness of the cutting tooth, and also affects the time it stays sharp in an inverse proportion. The larger the angle, the more aggressive (quicker it will cut)
And the faster it dulls.
With most the 25-30 degree range is where the "sweet-spot" occurs.
Peace,
Clarke
PS Searches by common terms gave bad results, which is why I gave you kerf.
