I am attempting to install a new Honeywell RTH230B. It has a 5 wire hook up but the old unit I am replacing has a 6 wire hook up. On the old unit the wiring is Yellow-Y, Green-G, Red-R, Brown-O, White-W2, and Blue-C
I understand I need to use the jumper, but where and where do I hook the other wires up to?

Manual is here: http://customer.honeywell.com/TechLit/pdf/69-0000s/69-1800.pdf
On page 1, I states: Note: These thermostats are not compatible with heat pumps or multi-stage systems.
You have a heat pump with aux/emg heat (W2). Obvious because of the "O" wire.
The stat you have won't work.
FYI: Most of the time, the "C" wire is optional when the stat uses batteries for power. Batteries are used in some stats because the old mercury switch thermostats didn't require a common.

Thanks for the answer/responce. I figured that out this morning after reading the back of the packaging a little closer. After being opened, hopfully Home Depot will accept it back.
Thanks again.

Hopefully Home Depot will accept it back.
There isn't much that they won't take back. Just look at all the taped-up packages next time you visit.
