My husband just informed me that my puppy got into confectionery sugar this morning. We aren't sure how much she ate, he said that it didn't look like much but I am just wondering what to watch for.

I wouldn't expect any toxic reaction. Be glad it wasn't raisins, a handful could have killed her. Almost anything strange can lead to diarrhea. She could be on a sugar high. Other than that, I don't think a single, large dose will hurt.

Thank you labman, I definitely feel a lot better, and I think I will be moving raisins to the highest shelf possible just in case.
