The movie is about a female chef famous in Europe for her quail dish. During the war she escaped to a remote village for shelter. There she became a housekeeper for 2 sisters. When the war was over she was able to travel to Europe to collect her account. She spend her money providing a faboulous feast for the entire village who were accustomed to eating bland food. She ended up serving a military officer who was responsible for her escape.

Movie is black and white. It may be a french movie as the translation was scrolled across the bottom screen in English.

I loved this movie and will purchase it if found.
