A billiard ball of radius a and mass m is initially spinning counterclockwise about a horizontal axis with angular speed ω0 = - v0/a and with a forward speed v0. The coefficient of kinetic friction between the ball and the billiard table is μ. Given: a,m,v0,μ. Determine:
a. the distance and time the ball travels before slippage ceases.
b. the linear and angular acceleration of the ball while slipping.
c. the velocity of the ball when slippage ceases.
d. the work lost to friction while slipping using two different methods.
