I have what looks like a giant L starting a couple of cm down from the base of my right hand and enveloping the left side of my hand. Face-up, it looks like half a heart from the right side of my right hand. It looks like it's burnt very lightly(it wasn't), it's scabby, but there's "non-scabby" skin. What looks "scabby" to me is black stuff that I can peel off with a good amount of effort. It gets itchy sometimes, but it is always uncomfortable. This stuff has also affected my left middle finger. And it smells weird(kinda warm)... Sometimes I think this is caused by washing my hands with hot water and strangely enjoying it.
I could ask my doctor, but that'd take too long and she'd probably just recommend a dermatologist or something. I want to know what this condition is so I can Google it, and treat it myself.

It order for it to be treated it has to be seen. We can't see it, so your description doesn't mean anything actually. Do you have underlying medical conditions? What meds do you take every day ?

By treated I meant "dealt with". I've got acne, but that's really it.

visit a dermatologist then, if it is only acne and thank your lucky stars it isn't anything worse then that. And thanks for joining in with your 'in depth description' of your affliction.

To clarify, Acne is not the underlying medical condition.

To clarify, Acne is not the underlying medical condition. I asked if you had any 'underlying medical conditions'. Wasn't that clear ?

It would be, if I knew what that meant in the first place. I thought by "underlying" you meant "other". A quick Google search proved me wrong...

Hi, ham, that's good. Just get a referral from your doctor for a dermatologist. I understand Accutane gets rid of acne really quickly, but you will have to improve your eating habits, etc. You know the old saying 'you are what you eat'.
