My Estate brand (by Whirlpool) washing machine will only spin if you grab the drum and start it. It is getting worse and worse to the point where it now leaves clothes wet.

It also had issues draining the water out for a while but I figured out it was the lid switch. I fixed that by taking the switch out and taping the wires together.

The only model number I could find was under the lid SM 8280867. Thank you for any and all advice.
