I'm trying to find out the name of a programme running in the uk from late 80's to 90's (I was born in 86 and remember watching when I was roughly 6-7yrs old) which was an educational cartoon about biology for kids. It went inside the body and all the chromosones/cells/blood cells/nutrients etc were personified (i.e they had smiles, could talk and had personalities - protein was muscly, sugar was hyperactive, etc) and the narrator, whilst discussing biology with the viewer, would talk to the various cells? Sounds odd but really good programme. May have been on video. Have tried every possible name such as 'body works', 'how your body works', 'find out more', and 'whats inside' but no findings so far. Any ideas please let me know, I'm having sleepless nights trying to remember the name of it!! Thanks.

Hmmm, that sounds a lot like the magic school bus.

Heya, yeah I thought so too but I watched one of the episodes (the only one which would work on youtube) and although it was very nostalgic to see it again, I'm sure it isn't it but YouTube won't let me view the cellular episode, the one I'm sure would be it if it's in the magic school bus. Thanks anyway Raven, have a nice day.

There weren't any smily faces on the blood cells.
You might be thinking of an episode of "Once upon a Time...Life". The show was basically about showing different different parts of the of the body for kids (blood, liver, digestion... etc). The show was in French but it was also in English as well (just harder to find in English ;) )
