I am trying to put together a Power Point Presentation for my college course, I want to add an .avi movie to a slide. When I try to add it directly using the toolbar it does nothing. When I try to add it to the clip gallery, I get an error message about the import filter and a bunch of gobbelty gook. What is the problem that I am facing and how do I fix it?

I am using Microsoft Power Point 2000 and the movie was created in Windows Movie Maker. I saved it as a DV-AVI, but I can resave it as something else if necessary. HELP, my grade depends on this.

Hi,
I use a later version of Power Point but here is what I'm figuring for 2000 version...

*Add clip to clip gallery

*Search in files of type

*Use play button to preview the video clip before adding to Microsoft Clip Gallery.

*To insert clip, use the clip tool bar. The insert clip button on the clip tool bar lets you add the imported clip into the gallery.

*When asked, Do you want movie to play automatically? Say yes.

*Once imported onto the slide, you can always resize the video but not too much or it will become too pixelated.

From what I see, looks like you need to convert for Power Point. There are free down loads online. The below links I just pulled for you but have not used them personally.

Hope this helped!
