Ae you trying to add an alternator or replace one?

I think this may be better answered by someone over at Small Tools or Lawn Equipment, not here, where we typically answer questions about building wiring.

I'm not sure if Cars and Trucks would be more appropriate, depands on the tractor, I guess. There are lawn tractors and farming tractors. Let's try here, if no response someone else who can, can move it.

Thanks tk. I do have the habit of finding the obscure. Even if it's to prove a point.

tk: There's a few links in Electrical Engineering that could use some input.

To everyone:
The link in post 7: I don't like the fact that there is no place on the schematic for a fusible link/fuse between the output of the alternator and the battery. Something like 30-40 Amps, I suppose. Other than that, looks like a car problem.
