I have a 14'x16' shed that I am now using as my workshop. I want to heat it this winter and my only cheap option is a kerosene heater, now inside I have a lawn mower, leaf blower etc, all that use gas. So I want to know if using a kerosene heater is too dangerous in there?

Kerosene heater are allways a little dangerous, but you can limit this by making sure the heater is in the middle of the room with nothing very close to it(I`m talking about 3 feet away,, and the gas powered tools much farther away like 10 feet,, don`t store extra gas in the same area,, and most of all never leave a kerosene heater unattended,, I wouldn`t for even 5 minutes

Any time you have a combustible like fuel and you run a open flame unit (kerosene heater) like you are talking about doing it is not a good idea. Enclosed electric heat mounted in the ceiling is safer. There is also a 18 inch height rule to the combustion chamber but that is for a regular gas/oil furnace and does not meet the requirements here since you have a known explosive/fire mixture with fuel for the equipment.

Does anyone know any other safer methods to heating because I don't have an electric line that can support a heater and my tools
