I got my bellybutton pierced over the summer but it's not a regular sized piercing, its smaller because I'm small so I didn't want a big ring and I can't get the ball unscrewed every time I try I end up hurting myself and making it puss.. its been several months I should be able to change it by now! But how do I get this ball off??

I suggest you do this. There's a saltwater spray that you can get at piercing shops, spencers, or Hot topic. It's called H20. You're going to need to clean it with that, use a Qtip to rub the extra "stuff" from the barbell and under the ball. This could be making it stick. Also, it was probably screwed on weird. When you're done with that, make sure that it's completely dry, as well as your hands. When you twist it, press the part that's in your belly button down so that it does not move, and screw the TOP ball to the LEFT. If that does not work, then it's possible that it was put in upside down (If both balls are the same size) and the ball that screws off is on the bottom half. If you try doing that, then I want you to hold the top half down just as you did the bottom, and turn the BOTTOM ball to the RIGHT. If you can't get it, have someone you trust try to help you. Also, make suer you clean it regularly when you get it unscrewed, and try not to mess with it too much. I've gotten mine caught on some pretty random stuff, so I would suggest not getting one that dangles or hangs.

Stop by the shop you got it at and ask them to remove it for you. Any shop that gives them would be willing to help you. Or get a set of steady hands to help. Maybe a small plier would help. (needle nose)
Be careful!

The main thing would be not to pull on it. Also, if you get a new one, get it a little bigger. What gauge is it? Mine is a 14, which is about standard, 16 is a little bit smaller if I'm not mistaken. Also, Don't get a ring, you're more prone to getting infections because they're always rubbing up on your clothes and rotating around through the piercing which lets bacteria in to the wound. Stick with a standard barbell, maybe a gem one or something just to add some sparkle, and make sure you clean the barbell when you change it.

I would say stop trying to get it off altogether, you are only making it hurt more by playing with it all the time.
Use the salt spray and avoid touching it and moving it too much, wear loose t-shirts to stop it rubbing or even better, cut off shirts.
Wait until it heals and you get rid of the infection and THEN go to the place that did the piercing and get them to change it.
