Hello,

I would like to format dynamically a column of cells with various colors in function of the day that is it written in the column before.

For instance:
Cells A1:A7 have "Monday;Tuesday;Wednesday;Thrusday;Friday;Saturday; Sunday"
Cells B1:B7 will have what I will write in them but I want that these cells have colors in some specific days, like Saturday and Sunday, or if it is holiday like Christmas.

This will be utilized for a dynamic calendar, changing every year, so I would appreciate any help.

Thanks.

Select the cells you wish to color. Right-click on the group of cells you've just selected and pick "Format Cells" from the pop-up menu. Select the FILL tab. Select the background color you wish the cells to be.

If the text isn't very visible after doing this, select the FONT tab. In the middle of the window is an entry box labeled "Color:" Select the text color there.

This can be done programmatically also.

Use Conditional Formatting. Its on the Styles section of the Home Ribbon.
