I'm new to computers and I just got a notebook, there was really no actual manual with it, just basic information, my question is what are the top row of keys, the ones that have f1-f2, etc, what are they for and how do you use them, not only are they label fi, but it also has a question mark on it to?? :confused:

Use of the F keys can be application specific. Generally F1 is Help, F4 is close and F5 is refresh. Other keys may mean different things in different software apps.

There is usually a Fn key, usually marked in Blue. This functions like the Shift key in that holding the Fn key down and pressing a key with a blue marking will perform that function. For example; the F7 key generally toggles between internal monitor, external monitor or both.

You should be able to get a manual at the mfg's Web site. Most likely there is a PDF manual installed on the system.
