Hi, Tx, I appreciate all your help you've been giving to all of us!
Clutch peddle pressure:
1990 Honda civic DX 5 mt. 267,000 miles.
The clutch peddle pivot pin bent seemingly because of high pressure exerted on clutch peddle. I replaced the pivot pin bracket (which includes the pin). After a short time, the new bracket and pin failed (again).
We removed the bracket, and replaced the pin with a piece of tool steel, and increased the diameter of the new pin.
No problem after doing this.(new assembly holding up well)
Question: what happened to cause the initial failure? Can I expect another failure?
And how can I determine what the pressure should be?
