I made sure to schedule mine as far away from my cycle because I was told you can't wear a tampon for 24 hours before. That's the only thing I remember for sure. But it's been a while since my last smear. It's best to call your dr before you go in to be sure there's nothing else you need to know

They can't perform a pap smear if you're bleeding. Not only is it messy, but it can cause inaccurate results.

The doctor "mentioned" that it was all right? An important tests' results are not just casually "mentioned" where you are from are they?

Will the doctor "mention" that a person's cancer is benign?

Do you know what's involved in a pap test? He may be able to tell you that everything in your vagina looks okay, but he can't tell you the results of the tests until he gets them. It involves looking at the cells under a microscope and most doctors don't do this in their office, they send it to a lab.

So, did you stick around while the smear went to the lab and was analyzed?

I smell a lie.
