I am a woman in love with another woman, older than me. She comes into the café where I work and we hit it off immediately. She seems to flirt with me in terms of body language, fiddling with jewellery, pointing her feet at me, preening herself, flicking her hair, licking her lips, touching me on various parts of my body (head, legs, bum, arm, shoulders, etc). Also she has said things like "I want you to be my carer when I get old" and once when a friend told me he could not get me on my mobile, she said to me "If we are dating, I expect you to keep your mobile on" Her daughter is gay and I know she has no qualms about lesbians. Should I tell her how I feel about her. She kisses me goodbye sometimes and is quite "touchy feely" with me, but not with any of her other friends or aquaintances in the café. My boss at the café (who is also gay) "told" me I fancied her ( I don't know if Im being that obvious) and that she knows I fancy her and feels sorry for me. If she knows I am gay and fancy her, why is she "flirting" with me. What should I do?

You asked this question, once before in July.

I'm assuming that nothing has progressed from that time.

Why don't you make the first move? She's either interested or teasing you. (The hair flicking sounds a bit much.) You don't have to be obvious - if that frightens you - join with her in the flirting repartee, ask her questions about herself. She's obviously more experienced that you but is looking to get a reaction from you. So give it to her.

You could suggest that there is a film that you'd like to see - would she like to come with you? You could suggest that you get a coffee or have a drink after you finish work.

If she refuses you'll know she was flirting and just leading you on. She's behaving this way because she knows she can get a reaction from you, so don't be disappointed if she doesn't take the bait and accept your invitation.
